Paul Bissonnette: World's Greatest Warm-Up Player |
What is it like to live the life of an NHL player? Well, if you want the answer to that question then you shouldn't ask Paul Bissonnette. Seriously, I'm not trying to be mean, he admits it. Just look at his Twitter description: "[I] play in the NHL for the Phoenix Coyotes. Well Sort of."
So how does a player with seemingly so little importance to or impact on the game overall become such a sensation? Simple answer: he posts funny pictures and makes fun of annoying people seeking attention. Oh, and he posts some funny videos. All of which were on display this week, here are some of the the best ones.
Funny Photos
Now I know he did not take the picture himself, it still doesn't make this photo any less hilarious, as it seems The Biz is embracing the new "Robbie Bobbie" in honour of disgruntled Toronto Mayor Rob Ford.

I don't pop Molly, I rock Rob Ford |
Making fun of annoying people
We have seen in the past that The Biz is no stranger to guys trying to pick fights with him (It's kind of his job). So when Andrew de Santo, aka ADTrey5 on Twitter, showed up looking for trouble when he told The Biz that Ryan Suter played more minutes in one game than The Biz had in his entire career. The Biz, who has heard that sort of thing plenty of times over the course of his career, simply shrugged it off by questioning de Santo's use of under shirts with dress shirts, adding, "Only thing I noticed is you dress like everyone's grandpa." Game. Set. Match.

Another game for The Biz!! |
This video requires no description, just watch it this without saying "Awwww." I dare you!
Be honest, you tried to teach your dog this trick.
It ain't all glamorous all of the time, but someone has to do it. He is not the hero we deserve, but he's the one we need and he's the one we've got. I don't know about you, but I take comfort in that. It's good knowing he's out there, The Biz, taking it easy for all us regulars. Shit, I hope he makes the finals. Things seem to have worked out pretty good for The Biz and the Coyotes (going 2-1 on the week including beating the Canucks in a shootout), and it was a pretty entertaining story. Made me laugh to beat the band. Parts, anyway. Course - I didn't like that Andrew de Santo guy. Guy sounds like an a-hole. I guess that's the way the whole durn human comedy keeps perpetuatin' itself, down through the generations, westward the wagons, across the sands a time until... Aw, look at me, I'm ramblin' again.

Sometimes, there's a man, well, he's the man for his time and place. He fits right in there. And that's the Biz. |
Keep your stick on the ice, kids.
